Patek Philippe watches ‘are some of the world’s most expensive’

Men who want to purchase one of the most prestigious and expensive timepieces available have been advised to check out the range of Patek Philippe watches.
According to Geoff Strong, writing in the Sydney Morning Herald, the watchmaker once produced a model which sold for millions of dollars.
He explained that men buy expensive timepieces in order to give "a display of conspicuous consumption, hopefully conferring status on the wearer".
Mr Strong added that Patek Philippe watches are more likely to appeal to people from some countries more than others, citing a statistic which suggests that Italians spend on average 45 minutes getting ready each day, compared to just five for Australians.
